A man has been jailed for eight weeks for stealing a packet of crisps and alcohol from a supermarket.Kyle James Farr, 29 of Raby Place, Bathwick, was given an eight-week prison sentence by Bath Magistrates.Farr pleaded guilty to stealing two cans of Jack Daniels and Coke, a can of gin and tonic and a packet of crisps, from Sainsbury's on Dorchester Street on August 7.He was also ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge and a £150 criminal courts charge.

A woman has been disqualified from driving after being caught more than four times over the drink drive limit.Louise Marita Hughes, 41 of Silbury Rise, Keynsham, was disqualified for six months by Bath Magistrates.Hughes pleaded guilty to driving a Freelander while over the drink drive limit along the Ashmead Road, Keynsham, on June 30.She was found to have 151 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
