A 33-year-old man from Bathford has been charged with assaulting a police officer and for possessing cannabis.An officer on duty in Bath was allegedly attacked on Bridge Street in the early hours of Sunday June 21.Police said he had challenged two men urinating in a doorway which resulted in the alleged assault.A man and two women have since received letters of thanks and commendation for going to his aid during the alleged incident.Chief Superintendent Caroline Peters said: "I wanted to...
